PDGF-BB secretion levels increase after PHT stimulation both in vitro and ex vivo. A hBMEC were treated with different concentrations of phenytoin and cell lysates were analyzed by PDGF-BB ELISA assay. B Wild-type mice (3 months old) were administered normal mouse chow or phenytoin in chow (40 mg/kg) for 1 month. After the phenytoin treatment period, fresh cerebrovessels were isolated and lysates were analyzed by PDGF-BB ELISA assay.
