Glibenclamide and curcumin decrease IL-1β production in PBMCs exposed to PM10. IL-1β production was evaluated by ELISA in PBMCs supernatants treated with glibenclamide (GB) or curcumin and exposed to PM10 (100 µg/mL) for 24 h. Results are presented as pg/mL of (A) IL-1β in the presence of GB, (B) IL-1β in the presence of curcumin, and (C) IL-6 and (D) IL-8 in the presence of curcumin. Data are presented as median ± IQR (n = 3–4). Statistical comparison was made using Kruskal-Wallis tests with a confidence level of 95%, and Dunn’s HDS post hoc (or multiple benchmark) tests were performed. Significant differences are represented at the top of the bars (*p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001)
